60s Manifestations Part I

John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Timothy Leary, Ringo, and Mick Jagger

Exposed In Black And White!

"I have spent the last forty years as a photographer. My primary interest is in those moments in time that stimulate the viewer’s senses and imagination. I try to capture the exact moment that draws the viewer into the story behind the picture. These moments cannot be revisited and require patience and, occasionally, prescience. I use only black and white film. However, in the last few years I have used the computer to add color. In many instances I find that the addition of color adds to and broadens the possibilities in the story."

John Lennon
"We're all Christ and we're all Hitler. We are trying to make Christ's message contemporary. We want Christ to win. What would he have done if he had advertisements, T.V., records, films and newspapers? The miracle today is communication. So let's use it." (John 1969)

John Lennon was one of the most talented songwriter of our time. His music is as timeless and relevant today as it was a generation ago.

His songs revolutionised our music and our culture.John Lennon was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, England.
John was not a follower, but a leader and was always fighting for people's right. He was a person that cared for other people and expresses himself by making different political statements. John was not only a great music writer, but also an excellent pop artist and did a lot in the Rock and Roll music world. John can not and will never be replaced by anybody. His songs will live forever in all our hearts and minds. Just Give Peace a Chance and lets work together to a great and much better world.
John died of the age of 40 in the Roosevelt Hospital on December 8, 1980, after receiving multiple gun shots in the back.

Ringo Starr
Ringo is a professional musician , motion picture and television actor, and songwriter. He also is a painter and photographer, shoots a good game of pool and plays a decent game of chess. Loved by fans everywhere, this true renaissance man helped three friends gain fame and fortune as The Beatles. Ringo's career began before he joined The Beatles and helped facilitate their rise to fame. His career continues to flourish.

Mick Jagger
"It is all right letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back."
-Mick Jagger-

Born Michael Philip Jagger July 26, 1943, in Dartford, Kent, England, to a middle-class family, Mick Jagger was a blues' fan ever since he was a child. The common love for blues that he and 'Stones' guitarist Keith Richards shared, brought the band together in the 60's.

Jimi Hendrix

Electric Ladyland (1968)
"Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland)
Have you ever been (have you ever been) to Electric Ladyland?
The magic carpet waits for you so don't you be late
Oh, (I wanna show you) the different emotions
(I wanna run to) the sounds and motions
Electric woman waits for you and me
So it's time we take a ride, we can cast all of your hang-ups over
the seaside
While we fly right over the love filled sea
Look up ahead, I see the loveland, soon you'll understand.
Make love, make love, make love, make love.
The angels will spread their wings, spread their wings
Good and evil lay side by side while electric love penetrates the sky
Lord, Lord I wanna show you
Show you."

Janis Joplin

Janis Lyn Joplin. born January 19, 1943. died october 3, 1970. With a life spanning only twenty-seven years and a career producing only four studio albums, it is amazing that Janis rose to the echelons of rock divadom, but that is exactly what she did. Like a sloe gin river traveling down a rock 'n' roll riverbed, Janis' voice sparked a furor of critical acclaim that has yet to subside.

Timothy Leary

Dr. Timothy Leary, PhD (1920-1996) Psychologist, philosopher, explorer, teacher, optimist, author and revolutionary avatar of the mind. Rightly called the Galileo of Consciousness, he went public with his observations of the mind made with psychedelic mindscopes and helped initiate a renaissance which is still only beginning to elaborate itself.

"Acid is not for every brain - only the healthy, happy, wholesome, handsome, hopeful,

humorous, and high-velocity should seek these experiences.

This elitism is totally self-determined.

Unless you are self-confident, self-directed, self-selected, please abstain."
