"My name is Laurent Antonini. I was born in April 1968 and I live in France. I am a jeweler by trade and graphic art has been my hobby for many years.
In 1993 I discovered the software Fractint to create fractals in 256 colors... it is totally Psychedelic what you can create with it and has inspired me very much. After some years I experimented with the new generation of fractal software such as Tierazon and Sterling Ware, also Graf Z Vision-3 fabulous freeware programs. I bought soon afterwards these fantastic software programs, KPT5 (frax flame) and Ultra Fractal. Again a new generation of fractal software with a lot of possibilities that help me to push the limits of Psychedelic Art with millions of colors and a lot of space to create with.
The last 2 years I have used Vue d’ Esprit (a 3d landscape software style Bryce) and Poser (for the creation of characters). With these 2 new programs I have been able to create both Fantasy and Science Fiction and sometimes experiment with manipulations with these in Photoshop to help me create new atmospheres and my own original art.
I work occasionally with the creation of flyers for Psychedelic Trance techno music because fractal is the base of art for psychedelic trance music. I have had the opportunity to have 2 articles published in Computer Arts Magazine (French edition) about my fractal work and also in the CD of Renderosity Magazine No.3, and some articles in different webzines in different languages."
